Worth a watch - The Holy Exchange of Gifts

For how we give we can find inspiration in the example of others, in the scriptures and the teaching of the church.

Whilst watching this got me to remembering a story from a stewardship program where a a university professor and his wife, both doctors, who were on study leave in the United States and attending a church who were in the midst of a stewardship program and being challenged to give sacrificially, and I quote ...

"Whilst being concerned about not having enough money to meet any serious emergencies should they arise we were challenged in the midst of a stewardship program to give sacrificially.  Of course like so many we gave without thinking too much about what we ought to give, this time we listened and we're prompted by the Holy Spirit and made the decision on a pledge to tithe. That decision has been one of the greatest blessings of our life, it’s not about how much you give but the degree of sacrifice the gift represents".
